This is a 30-day writing challenge for the month of March where I will write a new post about a picture/video/idea each day.

At First Glance

Middle aged black woman holding an hourglass and looking straight ahead.

Hourglass has white sand and looks like it was started about a few minutes ago.

One of the eyes seem to have a contact lens that looks electronic.

Can see her face from behind the hour glass and it looks like she looks focused.

The Story Behind the Picture

The following text is a fictional advertisement script.

Do you experience any pain in your hand?

Or are you tired of having to hold your phone or your iPad?

Well don’t worry, you will never have to hold a device ever again. Introducing the new iLens — a ground breaking device that allows you to directly view the contents of any of your devices directly to your eyes.

If you are thinking “ that’s way too close!”, we thought about that as well and so when you put on the lens what you see is a blank white space and you can modify the distance at which you see the contents of the screen as if you are in a room that can expand and contract.

The iLens makes it easy to browse the internet, watch movies, and watch sports from anywhere and everywhere. It has AR integrated into the device so if you are in an unfamiliar location, you can use the iLens to learn about the landmarks in the area.

This device is for everyone. It is compatible with literally any device own that has WiFi. You no longer need to spend money on multiple TV screens or pay more for larger devices. These lens’ will allow you to see anything you want however you want. My personal favorite is the 200inch screen mode with the background set in a drive in movie theatre area.

As the community learns more about the iLens, there will be a lot more new features added in the future. In fact, we actually encourage you to try out our product in all electronic and department stores in May 2055.

If you are interested in helping us perfect the technology with your feedback, apply for the challenge we have going on right now. You will be given several tasks to solve using the iLens and you will report back what your thoughts are.

The woman you see on the billboard, she is currently participating in the challenge. There are 20 tasks to be completed in 35 minutes. If you complete it in time, you will walk home with your very own pair. Only 1 person has been able to complete the tasks so far.

Apply now for a chance to win an iLens at:
